Mini review: (quick enough to be read before that Zombie gets back up):

Because of its significance in the zombie cinema I feel that I am supposed to like this movie more than I do. Don't get me wrong, for a low budget film of the 60's it's great. Zombie lovers owe a lot to this film and Romero's trilogy. However, when I'm in the mood to watch Night of the Living Dead I'll always pick the 1990 re-make for two reasons: (1) I can't stand watching the main actress sitting with glazed look her eye for the entire movie. I mean her brother was a jerk anyways. Get over it! (2) The ending. I mean come on... The main character is surrounded by trigger happy guys with guns he just stares at them without a peep until they shoot him? What a stupid way to end a character that was so intelligent and in control the whole movie.
